On the afternoon of May 7, 2024, six players gathered under ideal disc golf conditions for the first university championship at Clausthal University of Technology on the mountain course in Altenau; the group included everyone from beginners to club players. Two scoring rounds were played, but no winner had emerged by the end because two players had each needed 50 throws. Since the first tiebreaker also failed to produce a winner, it was agreed that both Philipp Hentrich and Claas Mosel could henceforth call themselves university champions. Lukas Sanktjohanser, a player from the current SITUC introductory course, achieved an outstanding 3rd place. Every participant had a lot of fun and had to throw from some truly tricky positions, as the pictures reveal. We look forward to another university championship!
