Last Saturday, December 13, the university volleyball championship took place at DFH. A total of twelve teams, with players ranging in age from 14 to over 70, had registered. The first group stage was played in the morning, followed by another group stage after the lunch break, during which teams competed for their respective rankings. By the end of the day, each team had played six matches.

The atmosphere was excellent all day long, and the players shared their camaraderie and joy of volleyball far beyond their own teams. This was particularly evident during the lunch break, when new, diverse teams formed on every court to continue playing together.

Special thanks go to the RKS graduating class, who provided a varied and delicious buffet to keep all participants well-fed throughout the day.

The day ended around 6 p.m. with a brief awards ceremony. The performance of the youngest team, “Die Jugend von heute” (Today’s Youth), was particularly honored with loud applause. Lena was also thanked for her excellent organization of the tournament.
