Scoop

What is Scoop?

Scoop is a catch-and-throw game that you can play anywhere.

Rules of the Game

There aren't really any strict rules; the only "foul" is touching the ball with your hand.

Here are a few throwing and catching techniques:

1. The overhand throw
Place the ball in the lower hollow of the racket. Hold the racket vertically. Swing your arm out wide and pull the racket over your shoulder with a slinging motion
so that the ball rolls to the tip of
the racket and flies far out. This throwing technique can be modified by bending your wrist backward while
your arm is stretched over your head.

2. The Backhand
Throw Place the ball somewhere between the tip and the center of the racket. Pull the racket back and fling it forward with
a quick arm movement from the wrist. The arm must be kept extended below the waist.

3. The overhand catch
Hold the racket vertically and catch the ball with the tip of the racket. Pull the racket toward you. This
prevents the ball from popping out.

4. The backhand catch
Hold the racket parallel to the ground and catch the ball softly.
