Clausthal University of Technology Signs the Okanagan Charter

We're making a statement!

On October 23, 2025, Clausthal University of Technology will make history by becoming the first university in Lower Saxony and the ninth in Germany to sign the Okanagan Charter.

Taking action is way cooler than just talking about it!

Clausthal University of Technology, which is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year, is thereby committing to the values embodied by the international charter. We integrate health promotion and sustainability as guiding principles across all areas and systematically incorporate them into university culture as a cross-cutting priority.

The Circular Economy is our guiding principle!

In research, teaching, and knowledge transfer, the Circular Economy serves as the overarching thematic framework—the central theme of Clausthal University of Technology.

We live the values of the Charter!

Currently, a new exercise space is being built on campus next to the library, co-developed by students who are actively involved in the process and without whose commitment this construction would not have been possible. This newly created space enables exercise and health in a place where there has previously been little physical activity. Many more milestones are in the works.
